About The Show

In The Lab is United Kingdom’s first Dyslexic Creative audio podcast. It shares fresh and exciting interviews with Dyslexic individuals working within the creative sector like Designers, illustrators, Musicians, Makers. Photographer, YouTubers and everything in between.

It’s about creative conversations with creative people. One in five people are super powered by Dyslexia, that’s a huge percentage. In The Lab seeks to inspire, encourage, equip and support amazing and talented like-minded creatives in their everyday life through weekly podcast interviews and videos.

The Production 

In The Lab has been running since December 2018. Within it’s first season it has gained over 50,000 listens in more than 5 countries and hit 100 downloads only a few episodes in. Since then it’s audience continues to grow.

The Creator

In The Lab was conceptualized by, written by, edited by and produced by Smart Hopewell.

Smart began writing episodes for In The Lab after gaining huge success from his YouTube channel where In The Lab’s first interview with fellow Dyslexic creative Will Fong, was debut. He wanted to share stories where dyslexia is a gift and not a curse, a place to encourage and uplift the mind, heart and soul.
  

One the first draft was written, Smart decided to get back into the lab to produce, richer and well-defined interviews with friends he knows may relate to the day to day struggle of living with dyslexia, but also focusing on the positives.
